United can be caught - Alonso

"Liverpool have demonstrated this season that they are superior to United in the two matches between the teams.
"Nobody could dispute that, but now it is a real race for the title.
"It is not impossible to imagine that we could win all of our next eight matches while United lose two."
yeah right.

We'll be fine.

Darren Fletcher
"We would have liked another game straight away to respond to a couple of difficult games, which are hopefully just a setback,"
"It's easy to talk about it, but you've got to go out on to the pitch and prove it is only a setback.
"We would have been desperate for another league game, but unfortunately the internationals have come about.
"Liverpool would have been wanting the league to continue really and not wanting the international break, so you never know, it might be something that we just have to deal with.
"I'm sure we'll be back to winning ways, we've got to be."
He added: "It's easy for me to say it's only a blip, but we've got to go out on to the park and show it's only a blip.
"I think it's easy talking about it, it's hard to go and do it. We'll all be desperate to go out and show when we get back that it is only a blip.
"As I say, it's easier talking than it is to go and produce results."

Quintuple anyone?

Quintuple:
1 : being five times as great or as many
2 : having five units or members
after last night Carling cup triumph, the talk of quintuple has been rise.. can we do it?
CHASING THE BIG FIVE
The odds on Manchester United winning an unprecendented ‘quintuple’ of Club World Cup, Carling Cup, Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup have been slashed to 14/1. If United pull it off they will make history. Only Celtic have come anywhere near that achievement. In 1967 they won five trophies, including the European Cup, but included the Glasgow Cup among their haul. United’s 1999 Treble of Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup is the next best achievement
Dec 21 2008, Club World Cup United’s first trophy is in the bag, Wayne Rooney scoring in a 1-0 win over South American champions Liga de Quito of Ecuador
Mar 1 2009, Carling Cup Holders Tottenham, who beat Chelsea in last year’s final, stand in the way of United lifting their second trophy of the season at Wembley today
May 24 2009, Premier League United were seven points clear yesterday morning and it would take a catastrophic loss of form to blow it now
May 27 2009, Champions League United should dispose of Inter Milan next week to reach the quarter-finals – and a possible clash with English opposition. United are fancied to become the first to win the Champions League in successive seasons
May 30 2009, FA Cup Three more matches and United could have trophy No 5 in the bag. First, however, they must beat Fulham in next Saturday’s quarter-final and then win a semi-final on April 18/19

Ben Foster saves O'Hara's penalty. Later, Foster reveals the Ipod inspiration that helps him to prepare for the shootout.Foster told reporters: "Just before the shoot-out I was looking at an iPod with goalkeeping coach Eric Steele. On it were images of Spurs taking penalties.
"I'd been told if O'Hara took a kick that he would probably go to my left. It was great that was exactly what happened and I managed to get a hand to it.
"I did an awful lot of research on who takes penalties for Spurs.
"I'd been given a lot of information on which way they put kicks.
"The iPod is Eric's innovation. It's an amazing tool, you can brush up straight away"

Anderson seals the win while Man Utd celebrate the second game success at the new Wembley.
